- The Bhagvatthi Amman Temple-
This is considered to be a religious place of worship and when in Kanyakumari, this should be the first place to visit too. Build in the 14th century AD; this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Devotees can offer their prayers and even take part in some of the rituals as well. Every pillar and wall of the temple is carved with the words from the Holy Scriptures. The temple is majestic in itself, owing to its design.
- Our Lady of Ransom Church-
The greatest church in Kanyakumari, this place was actually built by the Britishers when they invaded India. The church is for the Catholics and tourists can come to offer their prayers and seek blessings from Jesus Christ.
- The Vivekananda Rock Memorial-
Known to be one of the best places to visit in India, the Vivekananda Rock Memorial is dedicated to Swami Vivekananda, where it is believedthat he is meditated for almost 15 years. The place is ideal for meditation and one can experience the rough ocean water hitting the rocks with all its force. There is a small museum in the compound of the memorial that lists all of the details of the rock. Along the Memorial, there is a statue of Thiruvallur, a saint, who is considered to be very auspicious to the whole land of Tamil Nadu.
- Rameshwaram-
Rameshwaram is a small island that is located around 250 Kilometres from Kanyakumari. One can drive all the way through, crossing the ocean, to visit the famous Ramaswamy temple. One can take a bath there, as it is considered to be auspicious.
